WHY?

Life is full of unanswered "why questions" such as
"Why do people tell you not to stand in front of an emergency exit when if there was an emergency surely you would run through it?"
or "Why do we sing "Rock a bye baby" to lull our little ones to sleep when the song is about putting your baby in a tree and letting the wind crash the cradle to the ground?"
or "Why do we say we're head over heels when we're happy or in love? Isn't that the way we normally are?"
or "Why do sleeping pills have warning labels that state :'Caution: May Cause Drowsiness?"
or even "Why when people ask you "what three things would you bring with you on a desert island?" no one ever replies, "A BOAT""

Why do we have such a fascination with these unanswered "why questions"?
Well, not only do these questions make us think, but they make us think about things that we have probably never even considered before. We seem to like that for some strange reason.
Another reason we may like these is that it makes us laugh. Some of them, although we've never thought about them, are so blatently obvious that we can just laugh at ourselves for never thinking about them before. It's always nice to be able to laugh in the midst of a hectic day or a homework assignment or something.
The final reason that I like them, is it gives me good jokes occasionally in case I'm in an awkward situation, or just want to make somebody laugh.

In closing as I look at my keyboard, Why isn't the caps lock key capitalized?

Oh my goodness...so true, so true. i told the exit one to my mom, and she had to sit and think for a while, and really, we do, but it is so blatantly obvious--we just have never taken it into consideration before! Wow...ok mouthful of words....where did you get these WHY Questions??
