No moms?

Have you ever noticed that most main characters in Disney movies don't have moms? Think about it! Aladdin, Jasmine, Mogali, Cinderella, Snow White, Belle, the Little Mermaid, Nemo, the list goes on and on! Even the Sleeping Beauty, who has a mom, is raised by fairies so she hardly ever even sees her mom! What is Disney trying to do!!! Well, I think the main purpose in not having moms in Movies is to make the audience feel some sympathy for the main character. I don't know.....
Take, for example, Cinderella. First of all, if her mom hadn't have died, there wouldn't even be an evil step mother or step sisters in the picture, and there wound't be a story at all. Okay, so they could have had her Dad die first, but honestly, how awful would it be to have an evil step father? Bad, but honestly, having your step dad tell you to clean up the floors, and the having your mom help you with it. That really wouldn't be much of a story. Besides, then her mom would have made her dress, and the cute little mice wouldn't have done that cute scene!
Aladdin is a double whammy! Neither Aladdin or Jasmine have moms! Aladdin is a street rat and an orphan, so obviously he doesn't have a mom. That's probably because if he did have a mom, his dramatic "rags to riches" transformation wouldn't be qutie so dramatic. I really have no idea why Jasmine doesn't have a mom. It would probably just have made the story too complicated.
Think about it the next time you watch a Disney movie! The list goes on and on, and most of them have their own unique reasons why there isn't a mother figure. I would like to see a movie that had all the missing moms in it from all the Disney movies. That would be funny.
